Project Overview
Project Duration: 4 Weeks
Background: The Malmesbury Interactive Guide was designed to provide an immersive and user-friendly interface for visitors exploring the historic town of Malmesbury. The platform integrates various interactive elements like 360-degree views, maps, and trails to enhance visitor engagement and learning experiences.
Problem: Traditional visitor guides and static maps often fail to provide an engaging and accessible experience for a range of users, especially those with limited time, accessibility needs, or specific interests like local history.
Affected Users:
Local visitors – looking for detailed and interactive insights into the town’s historical points of interest.
Tourists and families – seeking engaging ways to explore the town’s history and trails.
Online users – who want to explore the town remotely and plan their visits in advance.
Impact: The project introduced a seamless and engaging platform offering users personalised routes, immersive 360 views, and rich historical content. By addressing accessibility needs and providing intuitive navigation, the guide improved the user experience and increased visitor engagement.
Objective:
The main objective was to create a functional, user-friendly guide that combines interactive media, GPS integration, and a visually appealing interface, making it easy for users to explore Malmesbury both on-site and online.
